My first experience at Children’s Choice Dental Care Arden was extremely disappointing and unacceptable. I arrived on time for my five children’s 11:00 a.m. appointments and checked in at the front desk. Despite having five children waiting with me, we were left in the waiting room for almost an hour without any explanation or update. During that time, I approached the front-desk employee more than once to make sure she had properly checked us in. She repeatedly said yes, but showed no concern about the excessive delay and made no meaningful effort to investigate or explain what was happening. Several families who arrived and checked in after us were called back before my children. When I asked about our appointments, the front-desk employee’s behavior was dismissive, unhelpful, and unprofessional. Instead of communicating respectfully and resolving the situation, she left us waiting without clear information. Her attitude made an already frustrating situation much worse. When we were eventually called inside, the staff appeared disorganized and unprepared. They asked questions about my children without clearly stating which child they were referring to. I booked an appointment before reading any reviews because, honestly, when it comes to a dentist, I usually don’t feel the need to do much research beforehand. I arrived and the area seemed decent, and the inside of the office looked nice enough. There were three people at the reception desk—two females and one male. When I walked in, I wasn’t greeted. I’m not sure if they heard me come in, but I had to ask where I needed to go since it was my first time there. They took my information and gave me paperwork to complete. As I sat in the waiting room filling out my forms, I started hearing the reception staff repeatedly using profanity. I’m talking about the F-word being used in what felt like every other sentence. I initially tried to ignore it and thought maybe it was just one person, but it continued. I could also hear the same type of language coming from the back of the office. There were approximately three other families in the waiting room, so it was very obvious that patients could hear everything. At one point, someone who appeared to be a doctor came through the back area, and there was still no acknowledgment of what was being said or how it sounded in front of patient

Honestly, I did not like it. It started off bad with them giving me the wrong time and then had to reschedule and then we have to come back for them to only look at My Son‘s x-rays to tell me that he needs this. This is they was a little rude and just over the top like I’m gonna go somewhere else cause I really didn’t like the attention. They didn’t even seem to even knew what they were talking about a little bit. So my Son was already like fidgety and trying to ask questions and it was just like too much there was another man there with glasses was very nice and was really considered to stop what he was doing to help me and I was very customer service of him. I really appreciate that. Knowin that he’s not even a doctor, but he gave me good customer service the last time I was there as well, so I really appreciate him.

Setting up the appointment was super easy which is why they have more than one star. Once getting there is another story. Waited over an hour to be seen. Then we got into the room and the guy who was going to clean my kids teeth had no idea how to deal with a two year old. Mind you, I called to confirm that they could see my two and half year old. They said yes. I’d taken her a year ago to explore kids dental in Roseville and they had toys and were equipped for kiddos. I held her and they cleaned her teeth. This place just expected my two year old to lay on a chair and wouldn’t let me hold her. They didn’t even have toys. The guy wasn’t even going to clean with a kids tooth brush. Once I saw how I’ll equipped they were we just walked out. Wasted my time. If you have older kids this may work just be prepared to wait.

Excellent staff! Very clean office. Fast and easy appointment setup online. Very good communication before your appointment. They were great with our severely autistic child. The doctor who saw our son had a very easy way with the kiddos. Very welcoming space! I highly recommend.
